Tonewinner 7300 vs Monolith 7

I recently purchased a Tonewinner 7300 and a Monoprice Monolith 7 amplifier. The Tonewinner amp looks better and has a higher build quality in my opinion. The back of the Monolith 7 looks cheap, especially the speaker terminals. The Mono 7 is also very unbalanced, the front is MUCH heavier than the back. The Mono 7 weighs 93 lbs and may not work with a lot of audio racks. The Tonewinner is built like a tank too, and has a nice weight to it, but it isn't excessive like the Mono 7.

Performance wise, I switched back and forth between the 2 and I was not able to hear the difference with my Klipsch surround set up. I am running RP speakers all the way around and RF towers for the rears. Both amps sound great, the are full sounding and dynamic. The Mono 7 did have an audible hum coming from inside the amp chassis. This could have been DC offset or a defective unit, I can't say for sure. Either way, it was audible from the listening position. There was no audible hum coming from the Tonewinner amp. Considering the Mono 7 is significantly more expensive and I couldn't tell the difference between sound quality tells you something about these Tonewinner amp...they are good quality.

Ultimately the hum from the Mono 7 chassis was not something I was willing to put up with, so I returned the Mono 7 and kept the Tonewinner 7300 and I have no regrets whatsoever. I would venture to say that these Tonewinner amps would give Emotiva a run for their money and would at least be AS GOOD as the Emotivas for a lot less money.

Don't hesitate to buy one of these amps, you will not be disappointed!! Not to mention Aamir gives awesome customer service and offers a 5 year warranty on them!!

Tone Winner amp surprised me..

So just before I purchased MCX 2, I purchased an Emotiva xpa-5. Believe me when I tell you that this XPA 5 sounds really nice. I decided to get the MCX 2 from Summit Hi-Fi and Amir said to try the Tone Winner AD7300. I was hesitant because I enjoyed the sound that the Emotiva xpa-5 had.

I quickly made all the
nonnections and started to play some albums,. I was floored. The sound was unexpected. It was clean, srisp and I heard instruments that I didn't hear before. My custom speakers were a perfect match and I left it running for a few hours (day off) . The more tracks I played the bigger my smile. I was truly impressed.

Guess what though, I'm having regrets now. See, if I could get rid of my less than 1 year old Emotiva XPA 5, I would get the Tone Winner in a heartbeat.

The build quality and power this beast is out shining my XPA 5.

Amir, we've had conversations about the amp, but if I can get this one sold, I'm coming for the Tone Winner AD7300. To make it even better, it's 7 channels, what more can I ask for?

I really thank you for allowing me to test the amp, and with the holiday around the corner, I just might give you a call to drop one off...

Cheers bro, your service, products and price are A+ (Summit HiFi is Boss..
